Sodexo’s holistic view will redefine the campus dining experience and build a nationally recognized dining program.
Leading this transformation will be celebrity chef and FSU alumnus Art Smith, as well as a team of Executive Chefs. As Culinary Ambassador of Florida State University, Smith will create a new "FSUnique" brand of “healthy comfort cuisine” readily available across campus. He will serve as liaison between the Florida Department of Agriculture’s Fresh from Florida program and Sodexo’s Floridian Flavors program. Smith has received the culinary profession’s highest awards and has cooked for some of the world’s most famous celebrities.
In order to support FSU’s desire to bring the best of Florida to campus, Sodexo will increase local sourcing to incorporate Floridian Flavors for healthy and authentic dishes. These diverse flavor profiles will be available in both dining halls after their redesigns. The Suwannee Room will keep its historic architecture and add a balance of modern serving concepts such as self service deli, salad, smoothie and dessert stations. Fresh Food Company will become the first-of-its-kind STK Seminole Test Kitchen that features a Chef’s Table for exhibition cooking and micro- restaurants that include a living herb wall and great local seafood that will take the Seminole dining experience to new levels of excellence. The STK Seminole Test Kitchen will also feature an outdoor area with freshly grilled items.
Sodexo will work closely with the Athletics department to create a customized menu for the training table program at FIGG and promote a healthy lifestyle for our athletes. (Don't worry, they will still be able to enjoy honey fried chicken!) Game day consessions will also improve as Sodexo is the leading foodservice provider in college sports.

From FreSh2U meal kits and Simple Servings Stations (free of the top eight allergens), to an enhanced concession program and mobile food trucks (including a 92-foot Seminoles' Cruising Demo Kitchen Big Rig), Sodexo will ensure continuous improvement to the campus dining experience.
